IT HAS TURNED AND SPLAYED LEGS AND STRETCHERS WITH TURNED ARMS AND IS IN THE ABSOLUTE BEST ORIGINAL UNTOUCHED ATTIC SURFACE AND PATINA.MASSACHUSETTS BAY COLONY, PROBABLY ESSEX COUNTY AREA, CIRCA 1680-1710 ALL IN TURNED AND RIVEN NATIVE ASH.FANTASTIC EARLY FORM.THEY DON'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS.THE FORM IS ABOUT THE BEST YOU WILL FIND, THE CONDITION IS NEAR PERFECT AND THE SURFACE IS COMPLETELY ORIGINAL, NEVER PAINTED WITH THE GRUNGIEST OLD ATTIC PATINA. THE CHAIR HAS GREAT "CARVER STYLE" TURNED ARMS, HAND HOLDS, AND FINIALS.EVEN THE RUSH SEAT IS ORIGINAL.This great chair stands 34" TALL. The seat height is a full 19 1/2".
