If you are looking for a tall, dark, and handsome companion, I'm your guy! My name is Gibson and I'm 1.5 yrs old, and weigh around 60lbs. My foster mom thinks that I may be a wolfhound/deerhound mix, but I am not really sure what makes up this amazing package! The first part of my life wasn't super fun, I was kept outside on a chain and didn't get a whole lot of socialization or exercise. I'm a little wary of strangers, but I warm up quickly...especially if you have treats! I haven't learned yet how to play gently with other dogs, and for some crazy reason they don't seem to like my rambunctious way of playing! I would be fine as an only dog, but I would love to have a doggie buddy if my new owner was committed on working with me to improve my manners. I am a big no with cats, I think they are a little too fun to chase around! My ideal home would have a fenced yard; my foster mom thinks that I am way too much dog to live in an apartment! I have quite a lot of energy and absolutely LOVE to go on walks. I am house-trained and crate trained, but would rather be out where you are. I'm learning how to use the dog door at my foster house, but the flap still kind of freaks me out. I am very smart and treat motivated, so I will be the star in my training classes! I can't wait to find my forever home...we will have so many great adventures together!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal.
