In layman's terms, if we are selling it, it is special. What you are looking at is our 1981 Chevrolet K5 Blazer, finished in Midnight Black with Original Carmine Custom Plaid Interior. These trucks are pinnacles of the truck culture here in the United States, and to find them in this condition does not happen often. We were presented the opportunity to own the truck, and have taken time to make sure it is one of the nicest K5 Blazers that you will ever see hit the open market.The black exterior shines phenomenally. It has had one respray very early in it's life, and it still shows great, with signs of patina that you can expect from an unrestored truck. All of the brightwork is original, and shows in excellent condition. The vehicle has some expected wear and tear, we are talking about a truck made over 40 years ago!The interior of this truck is the standout feature. The Carmine Custom Plaid interior is ALL ORIGINAL to this truck, and this is the most desirable interior you can have on these awesome K Series machines. This interior looks, feels, and even smells correct. This is something that drew us to this vehicle immensely, as it is apparent that this truck has been extremely well cared for throughout its life. All of the accoutrements are present, and everything is working as it should. The factory 8-Track player was just removed (and included) by us, and we installed a Custom Auto Sound Vintage Radio that incorporates Bluetooth for the added creature comfort. At the same time, both dash speakers were changed, so the radio is fully functional, and sounds “period correct”.Mechanically and structurally, this truck stands above most in a crowd. It retains its all original 305 V8, and has under 55,000 ORIGINAL miles. The Automatic Transmission shifts as it should, and the small V8 does it's job to make this truck a dream to cruise in. All original, except for a nice dual outlet exhaust system, which emits a nice sound from the 305. The A/C Blows Cold, and the Heat blows hot. What more could you ask for? This truck also has a brand new 2” SuperLift installed, with new shocks, and new 15” US MAG Wheels mounted on 33” Cooper Discoverer tires. We also went ahead and did a ton of service work, including all new bushings, U Joints, Steering Box Assembly, Brake Hoses, Front rotors, and so much more.
