I am offering here a very nice 1964 Buick Riviera Super Wildcat that is a numbers matching car. This is the Rivera Gran Sport before Buick officially used that name. It came from California originally and belonged for many years to the wife of the original selling dealer (see console plaque and history in last shot). This car was ordered with the Super Wildcat 365 HP, 425 ci engine (with KX code) with two four barrel carburetors, and the car still retains its numbers-matching engine. It also has almost every other available option: power steering, power brakes, power windows, power vent windows, power bucket seat, Wonder Bar radio (converted to am/fm and works well), power antenna, vacuum trunk release, cruise control, very rare rear seat arm rest, sport steering wheel, tilt wheel, rear seat speaker, rear defroster, deluxe aluminum bolt-through wheel- hubcaps, trumpet horns and most especially rocker panel moldings that were formally introduced on the 1965 model Rivieras. This rocker trim looks fabulous and sets this car apart. I have not seen another '64 with this trim.The car runs well and is very fast. Since I have owned the car I have rebuilt the dual carbs and done a major tune-up and replaced part of the exhaust system. It has been a dependable driver under my ownership, and I am very impressed with the car's road stance and handling; these were special cars always, and this example is among the most special of the special! Everything works as it should with the exception of the cruise control and air conditioning, which need some attention. The a/c blows very cold but will not hold a charge for long, and I think one of the vacuum actuators to switch modes is bad. Would not take much to get it working. Cosmetically the car is in lovely shape. It was painted by the previous owner just before I purchased it, and the paint is in excellent condition. It seems to me that the current color is lighter than the original Desert Beige, but the car was already painted once by the original owner, so it is hard to tell. The body is very straight with excellent fitment and no rust. The chrome is very nice all over and the wheel covers are in very good condition; one has a fingernail size chip. The engine compartment is very tidy and the trunk is in excellent condition with an original mat. The interior is original, as far as I can tell, except for the carpets and is very nice, except for some wear on the driver's side bucket seat welting.Please look at the photos carefully and feel free to ask questions.
