This 1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Speciale is one of 1,366 examples produced and was purchased by its current owner in Italy in 2018, at which time it was imported to the US. The has been refinished in cream over beige cloth and blue vinyl, and power is from a 1.3L twin-cam inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Work under prior ownership reportedly included a replacement water pump and radiator. The Sprint Speciale was styled by Franco Scaglione at Bertone. Fergat wheels with polished Alfa Romeo-branded hubcaps wear Vee Rubber V366 tires showing 2017 date codes. Additional equipment includes hand-crank windows, a blue carpet kit, and a replacement headliner.The three-spoke steering wheel frames Veglia instrumentation including a 220-km/h speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and oil temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 215 kilometers (~130 miles), with total mileage unknown.The 1.3L twin-cam inline-four is fitted with dual Weber 40 DCOE carburetors, an aluminum airbox, and a F.I.S.P.A air cleaner.
