-1969 Dodge Charger 500-440 4bbl - console 4speed-Dana 60 w/ 3.54-T5 Copper with Saddle Tan interior-Power XHD drum brakes, power steering-Passenger side rear view mirror-Runs and drives great...1968 and 1969 were iconic years in Grand National Stock Racing within NASCAR. The corporate boys were full steam ahead with"Win on Sunday, sell on Monday". If you know what you're looking at here, nothing more to say other than the uniqueness of the car. But if you don't, it was the first of the Dodge/Plymouth aero cars that was homologated to satisfy NASCAR rules on special body types. 1969, Dodge brought out their aerospace technology to produce a more areo-friendly Dodge Charger for racing. The street production 1969 Dodge Charger 500s were built to satisfy those very NASCAR rules on street car production requirements, of which 500 street production units. The exact number may never be known, but the 392 number has been widely excepted for decades. The 4speed - 440 4bbl version is probably in the number count of about 26 plus or minus. Regardless, it is extremely rare. For the record, all Charger 500's were built before the end of the year 1968.. Not into 1969.It is amazing how this iconic piece of Racing/Mopar history goes under appreciated. People still ask me why I changed out the front grille. I tell them, "I didn't, Dodge did". I won't give all sorts jiggles and jangles on the car like brokers do. Anyone interested in the car will know exactly what it is. DOES NOT have the original 440 and manual 4speed. The block is a 69 440 HP and the transmission is 1970. Has new brake and fuel lines along with tank. Again, the car drives great. Have brand new 15x8 (rear) and 15x7 (front) magnum 500 with new tires. If you are looking for a great, very nice looking Mopar Aerocar, this is the one.. I have attached videos to show her in action.
