Up for sale is my 1985 Ford F150 Flareside, 4.9 Big Inline 6, C-5 auto, 8.8 rear axle with 3.08 gears, AM/FM/Cass, A/C, Heat, intermittent wipers, and Premium wheels. I originally bought this truck to drive and restore as I have wanted one since I graduated, but as time went on I used it more as a work truck for my business, even though a great truck, I need a truck that will tow, and do it over long distances, this does a great job for short distances, but I couldn't tow three or four states away with this, nor would I want to do that to this cool little truck. It has had routine maintenance/repair work done to it over the time I have had it, and it has more than proved it's worth, and until it sells or even if it doesn't I will still be driving it on a regular basis. The neat ting about this Flareside is it is all there, all the hard to find parts are here, what really needs to be done is for someone to take the time and make her all new again, or just keep driving her like I have. Prototypical is cab rot, look closely at the pictures and you will see this truck has had none, bought in Austin, Texas, and still resides just outside of Austin, Texas with me, it has never seen road salt, nor extreme harsh northern weather. Rear main leaks a little when you stop, rattle at trailing throttle engine speeds on long trips(it has done both of these since I have owned the truck for 8 years), the wood floor in the bed needs to be replace, small dent in fender and hood, cracked windshield. This is being sold on the premise of it being a solid foundation for a restoration, it is unmolested and all factory stock, no major rust, cab rot or anything of the sort, I have been using this truck daily for 8 years, and it has been one of the most dependable trucks I have owned. This has been a great classic 80's truck, and it gets a lot of thumb's up when you cruise it around, I have an extra dash pad, and door panels for it. I have all the paper work since it was ordered new in late 1984, I am the second owner. I have tried to photograph and represent this truck as true and correct as possible.
