Packard represented the finest and most reliable American Luxury Pre-War automotive engineering and technology of its day, and was universally revered as the Premier Luxury Vehicle, only to be rivaled by the English Rolls Royce. Many of the innovations and technologies used in the automotive industry today were designed into this early Packard luxury car, including the modern steering wheel, an independent front wheel suspension, a robust and stable carriage and suspension support system designed to dampen travel vibrations, hydraulic adjustable shock absorbers, vacuum regulated carburetor, advanced ignition timing controls, and a four-wheel hydraulic brake system.
