1963 Mecury Very rare Monterey with the Super Marauder 390 FE motor and 4 speed on the floor. 1 owner car, has been garage kept in North Carolina in the same town for 60yrs until now when it was shipped to Texas to offer for sale. I have records going all the way back to 1963 including the original window sticker and purchase order. The owners manuals even have the service stamps from the dealer at every service interval provided in the book. I also have 3 sets of original keys. The motor was removed and rebuilt in 1985. This car was driven on a regular daily basis into the 90s. Now about the car. Everything works, the cig lighter, the light in the glove box, the light in the truck, all the exterior lights, all the interior lights, the speedo, the gauges, the radio, the power top, the heater...everything. She starts right up very easily and the 390 is really strong. This car is a blast to drive. I do have the original wheels and tires, but swapped them out for these wheels since the old tires were flat spotted. The paint looks great for the age and the top has been replaced and looks brand new. With all that said the car is by no means perfect. Its what you would expect from a 60 yr old car that was serviced regularly, but used regularly and kept inside. I feel like it would be a shame to do a full resto as the character of the car is just feels priceless and lends so much to the experience of driving it. You cant go anywhere without people cracking the necks to gaze at her. In my research I have not been able to find another Monterey Conv with the Super 390 4 barrel Motor and a Factory Options; Cascade Blue Paint Super Marauder 390 V8 4 Speed Manual trans 14 wheels Power Brakes Power Steering Push Button Radio Tinted Windshield Automatic WS Washers Padded Panel and Seat Belts Remote Control SV Mirror Full Disc Wheel
