This 1955 Jaguar XK140 roadster is said to have been purchased new by the current owner's uncle and underwent a multi-year refurbishment around 15 years ago. Work included a repaint in red, a reupholstered tan interior, and a rebuild of the numbers-matching 3.4-liter inline-six. Additional equipment includes a four-speed manual transmission, twin SU carburetors, polished exhaust outlets, driving lamps, knock-off wire wheels, an electric radiator fan, and wind wings. This XK140 is now offered by the seller on behalf of her father with refurbishment records, a parts catalogue, a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, and a clean California title in the name of the family trust.The car was originally finished in Battleship Grey and was repainted its current shade of red following the completion of bodywork in 2006. Brightwork was re-chromed at this time and exterior features include a tan convertible top, bumper-mounted driving lamps, grille badges, and wind wings. The five-digit odometer is inoperable and currently shows 98k miles, though total mileage is unknown. The seller also notes the fuel gauge is in need of repair.
