1959MORGAN 4/4 Series II I am sadly selling mybeautiful, historic Morgan car, d ueto change of my storage arrangements, Lessthan 300 of this model were made. This rare car comes with modern V5, originalbuff log book, a photo album history, including a number of previousbills. According to these records the car was restored on Chassis No.510 in the 1980's. The chassis number is clearly shown on the appropriatechassis cross member. Althoughthe Chassis as recorded in Morgan factory notes (copy available) is not a Competition model, the car for sale was adapted in the past to original Competition specifications and its 1172cc Ford Engine correctlyupgraded with the Aquaplane Performance cylinder head, specialmanifold and original twin SU carburetors. An electric fuel pump isfitted. The engine runs well on premium petrol with unleadedadditive. The manual gearbox has 3 forward and 1 reverse gear. Thecar is fitted with a heater, currently disconnected and has itsoriginal steering wheel and instruments. The two seats are in goodcondition. The birdpit has side screens and tonneau cover in verygood condition. A hood for wet weather is included, as are electricwipers and screen wash. A new battery is fitted. The car is fittedflashing indicators. The luggage rack over the spare wheel iseasily removable. The bodywork is in excellent condition and the long sweeping wings are GRP installed in the 1980's when the car was restored. Proof is available. The bumpers were re-chromed 5 years ago. Again proof included in history album. Both these items enhance the appearance and longevity of the bodywork. Steeringis light and the period drum brakes are effective. Thereis a stock of used spares for the car. Engines, parts and gearboxes. Thecorrect technical manual will be supplied to the buyer. Thecar is registered as an historic car on a V5, currently SORNed and currently attractsno road tax or MOT. It is in excellent roadworthy condition for a 60+ year old car...
