Description

Looking for a Technical Program Manager with broad IT experience and Program Management

experience. An industry expert. The best of the best.

Job Description

1. Provide Technical Program Management and Project Management leadership and

oversight for IT video conferencing engineering projects.

2. Develop strong relationships of trust with and contribute to the success of Technology

Managers and Product Managers by understanding their needs and successfully leading

projects that address their needs.

3. Develop strong partnership and relationships of trust with Lead Program Managers and

Field Relationship Managers in fulfilling Program Management responsibilities.

4. Understand operational requirements, strategic business objectives and product roadmaps

and develop project roadmaps to achieve the operational requirements and business

objectives.

5. Bridge technical disciplines and ensure project roadmaps are consistent across IT product

areas.

6. Work with stakeholders to develop projects with clear scope, clear objectives,

documented requirements, clear deliverables and acceptance criteria, and strong business

justification.

7. Work with Technology Managers to define and document technical project designs that

are consistent with enterprise architectures and engineering standards.

8. Coordinate vendor evaluations and commercial product selection.

9. Create and own project plan to facilitate the successful execution of all aspects of the

project including scope, schedule, budget, stakeholder communication, and risk

management.

10. Provide leadership for overall project execution including solution development and

implementation. Establish and be accountable for all project commitments.

11. Understand and follow established processes for project execution while working to

improve processes and tools. Lead project reviews, provide status reports, complete

required documentation, update key indicators and metrics, and ensure accurate project

accounting.

12. Negotiate project resources from Technology Managers and balance priorities, needs, and

commitments of many projects and initiatives executed simultaneously.

13. Manage vendor involvement on projects and manage outsourced work.

14. Drive quality, optimize project solution, and look for cost savings and efficiencies.

15. Ensure project deliverables are operational ready, secure, and are designed and

implemented to meet SLA.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Graduate degrees and

advanced certifications valuable.

2. 10+ years Technical Program Management or Technology Management experience in

global IT organization. Product Management experience also valuable.

3. Broad industry experience with global IT perspective.

4. Understanding of industry best practices for Program Management.

5. Engineering experience with in the video conferencing and video streaming industry.

6. Specific knowledge of Polycom and/or Tandberg equipment for video conferencing.

7. Experience in establishing architecture and infrastructure to support video streaming and

video conferencing.

8. Organized. Love for getting your hands dirty in the details.

9. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Good facilitator and instructor, capable of

producing quality documentation, good customer relationship skills.

10. Ability to synthesize complex technical details into coherent technical solution.

11. Ability to lead business managers and project teams to consensus.

12. Confidence to speak-up and challenge ideas and propose alternatives. Desire to

constantly seek and offer constructive feedback.

13. Innate understanding that performance equates to achieving results.
