Senior Structural Engineer –Green Jobs Now.Org

The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for leading structural design efforts for hydroelectric power plant projects across North America. Will serve in a senior technical role preparing design criteria, calculations, drawings, permitting documents, construction specifications, and bid packages. In addition, will perform field work including site inspections at project locations. On occasion, may serve as a Project Manager on larger projects in addition to serving in a lead technical role. As a Senior Engineer/PM, you will be expected to plan, organize, and supervise the work engineering professionals and technicians on various projects. Requirements Bachelors Degree in Civil/Structural or Geotechnical Engineering and P.E. licensure are required. Candidate should have 10+ years structural engineering experience as it relates to hydroelectric power projects. Additional project experience on water resources facilities will be considered. Ability to design and detail in steel, concrete, masonry and wood. Requires solid understanding of structural steel and reinforced concrete analysis. Previous experience with a consulting engineering firm, A&E, EPC or Utility is required. Field work and occasional overnight travel will be required.
Computer knowledge: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar analytical software.
