Senior Oracle DBA (2264)

2 Years Contract in Plano, TX 75024

Local candidates and permanent residents only eligible for this role

Rate :- $42/Hr On W2

Note :- Resume must artculate both # of databases supported as well as the sizes for SQL instances and Oracle instances for the past 2 years.

Job Description :-

Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database.
Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other

distributed data issues.
May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and 4 - 6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Experience with relational database technologies such as Oracle and DB2
Application development experience
Good documentation and process improvement/development skills
ood communication and customer service skills
Able to create detailed work plans
Strong UNIX analyst skills
Solid knowledge of PBSG and PMI Project Lifecycle Methodology processes
College degree
Minimum of 8 - 9 years of relevant IT experience
Comfortable providing on-call production support
Plan, coordinate, install, and configure database software, patch fixes and upgrades
Configure, create and maintain databases
Configure client/server communications/software
Understand the value and benefits of Implement Object and Security Management
Understand the value and benefits of proactive database monitoring
Perform capacity planning and management
Gather and analyze database requirements
Optimize performance via tuning
Perform physical and logical database design
Implement database backup/recovery strategy
Assist developers with SQL tuning
Strong batch/shell scripting experience

Able to troubleshoot system problems and to work quickly to resolve system outages
Able to work within a large and diverse team
Must be able to communicate effectively with different teams and provide courteous customer service
Desired Languages: Perl, UNIX Shell Scripting
Desired Technical Skills: Problem Solving, Analysis, Engineering/Infrastructure experience, Application Development/Support experience
Platforms Supported: HP-UX, AIX, Windows, Linux
