Senior J2EE Programmer Analyst

Analyze, design, construct and test J2EE web-based pharmacy and Pharmacy Benefit

Management computer applications. Mentor team on J2EE development methods and

standards. Troubleshoot J2EE and Application (Sun and Orion) server problems. Support and

maintain application systems. Write detailed program documentation (software development life

cycle) and user and operations procedures. Exercise an extremely high degree of technical

competency in the utilization of standard development tools.

Experience:

•Minimum three years of experience in developing and maintaining programs and application systems

using Java. This includes all Phases of Software Development Life Cycle

•Minimum two years of experience in developing and maintaining programs

•At least 6 months with Sun One Server

Specialized Knowledge:

•Demonstrated technical competence with programming technology and tools, such as Oracle PL/SQL,

Java/J2EE, or other 3/4GL programming languages

•Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Project, Visio, and similar software tools

•Knowledge of the use of SQL (Structured Query Language), specifically in an Oracle database

environment

Specialized Skills:

•Practical experience in performing analysis, design and construction, and implementation tasks within

the structure of the system development life cycle

•Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills

•Excellent oral and written communication skills

•Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously

•Experience utilizing application development tools including Oracle PL/SQL and Java/J2EE

•Experience with Financial or Health Care applications is a plus

•Use good judgement and common sense when interfacing with co-workers and outside contacts

•Maintain a courteous, professional demeanor with co-workers and outside contacts

•Maintain confidentiality of information

•Work under pressure

•Set priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

•Highly motivated, self-starting, organized, follow through on details, handle multiple demands and work

well under pressure

Education:

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Pharmacy, Health

Informatics or related field

•Equivalent training and experience (five or more years) may be acceptable

Work Conditions:
