SEEKING HOUSEMAN / Assistant / Property Maintenance;

MUST LIVE-IN -Will have large own room, large walk-in closet, large private bathroom with shower and separate tub, double sinks and second day room. The accommodations are spacious, you would have use of the pool, I am located on the water on a guarded island, and would be invited to some of my boating excursions.
ROOM+BOARD+$425 gross=$385 net + mileage reimbursed, bonuses. Equates to $1700 per month gross. $1540 per month net. Additional $50.00 per Diem Bonus in addition to base salary for occasional overnight business travel.
$100 bonus per day if travel is on a weekend for overnight business travel.
Equates to a ballpark of $26,500 per year gross, $24,420 net, to possibly as much as $28,000 per year gross, $25,920 net dependent on number of bonuses and mileage reimbursement. Remember, PLUS Room and Board.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Cook, light cleaning, personal care, shopping, errands, maintenance/repair, strong back to assist disabled 55yo professional, Miami Beach.

REQUIREMENTS:
-Valid Florida drivers license AND car.
-Must speak English.
-Must have cell phone.
-Able to pass criminal, driving, workers compensation, unemployment, Social Security background check and drug screening.
-Legal to work in the U.S.

Monday through Friday. Weekends and evenings off for any personal affairs, recreation, school or other part time positions. Flexibility to conduct personal affairs during regular work hours.

Regular housecleaning not required. Longtime housekeeper each Thursday does my laundry, deep cleaning of kitchen and bathroom, and general cleaning of the remainder of house. Assistant only requires keeping home in orderly and clean condition between Thursday housekeeper visits.

DETAILED JOB DUTIES:

DAILY
Hours- 8:00 AM thru lunch with one hour lunch break - until cleanup from dinner, 6:00-7:00. 5 days per week, Monday-Friday
Assist preparing breathing treatment and medications.
Assist with getting out of bed and other personal care as needed.
Bring in paper daily.
Prepare and cleanup of all meals throughout week INCLUDING meals for weekend prepared in advance and ready for microwave during weekends. Dinners served between 6:00 to 7:00.
Prepare coffeemaker in bedroom each day.
Make bed, hang towels and gather dirty clothes each day. Turn down bed after dinner each day.
Give 1 shot at breakfast daily.
Brush dog after breakfast & scoop dog poop daily.
Bring in & open mail. Put out any outgoing mail each day by 2:00 pm.
Maintain pool daily.
Pickup any fallen or blown debris from yard & patio. Keep front porch and patio clean on a daily basis.
Maintain household in tidy manner except Thursday’s when housekeeper is present.
Provide assistance back into wheelchair or shower chair after falls. (A relatively rare event perhaps once every 6 weeks)

WEEKLY
Put out recycling bin each Tuesday night.
Vacuum Florida room rug each Wednesday p.m.
Brush Pool sides, bottom and stairs no less than once per week including purchasing of chemicals from pool store on an as needed.
Go to grocery store each week for food items.
Wind clock.

AS NEEDED
Go to any stores for errands or supplies on as needed basis.
Fill bird feeder as needed.
Water outdoor potted plants as needed and fertilize once per month. Other plants every two weeks.
Manicure, pedicure, tweezing as needed/requested.
Accompany when on business trips (approximately every other month) to assist with driving and transfers in and out of showers during all out-of-town hotels. Assist taking measurements or pictures during facility inspections as needed during out of town business. Per Diem bonus $50.00, in addition to salary for overnight travel days. $100 per day if overnight travel on weekends.
Conduct small projects as directed around household to include minor repairs, installation of new items, sealing dock, driveway or other repairs or maintenance.
Serve meals when any guests are present. (Seldom)
Wash and vacuuming van once/ week or every other week as needed.
Wash and vacuum boat as needed.
Wash dog every 4 weeks, apply flea medicine and give heart worm pill each month.
Assist with transfers at pool lift as needed.
Provide assistance during emergency spills or drops.
Assist with any office duties to include filing, collating, maintaining database or other duties as directed.
Mix, re-supply any irrigations or medications on an as needed basis.

PROPERTY MAINTENANCE
Change air conditioner filters as needed.
Exterminating interior and exterior as needed.
Plant, transplant, trim trees, pull weeds, used weed killer, lawn and tree fertilizer as needed.
LAWN SERVICE DOES maintain lawn and perimeter bushes.

HOUSE GUIDELINES
Turn out all lights when not in use.
Turn off air-conditioning if leaving house for more than two hours.
Keep front and back doors locked at all times.
Do not leave dirty dishes in sinks.
Keep gas grill covered at all times except when using and after cooled from use.
Coil exterior hoses after use and keep spigots turned off. Release water pressure from within hoses.
Keep lid on kitchen garbage can closed at all times.
Keep dog water filled at all times.
Keep doors closed at all times to keep air conditioning in, mosquitoes and chameleons out.
