OB LISTING: Sales Associate (12 needed) (commensurate with experience) for the Charleston Splash is responsible for generating new business revenue by developing and closing corporate partnerships for the team. This person should be an outgoing, energetic and creative sales professional who is a clear self-starter with strong sales, and relationship skills. Pay will be discussed during interview.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Sell new corporate partnerships and tickets in order to achieve or exceed mutually agreed-upon sales goals
• Develop dynamic sales presentations for new business prospects; design proposals incorporating research of category dynamics and clear understanding of the prospective partner's marketing goals
• Manage and ensure exemplary fulfillment of all corporate partner programs, and establish strong relationships with existing partners to maximize retention
• Generate leads; cultivate and entertain sales prospects and current partners at Charleston Splash home games and various events
• Work closely with other departments to develop and execute sponsored programs (e.g., community relations, game presentation, and service)
• Provide hands-on management of a ticket sales staff (motivation, lead distribution, goal setting, etc).
• Provide accurate, reliable weekly sales reports, as well as accurate information for sales forecasts and prepare weekly pipelines and revenue reports
• Develop a budget for the sponsorship and ticket sales departments and prepare supporting business action plans to support new business directions
• Determine sales goals, help develop pricing and special promotions for season tickets, group tickets.
• Provide exemplary customer service and build strong relationships with existing customers and sponsors through proactive communication including seat visits, touch points, phone calls, emails and other communication channels.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
• Ideal candidate will have at least 1or 2 years of sponsorship, ticket sales or related sales experience
• Relationships in the Charleston-area preferred
• Excellent people skills, with the ability to interact effectively and in a professional, diplomatic, and mature manner with high-level executives as well as internal and external clients at all levels
• High level of initiative and inner-drive
• Candidate must have excellent problem solving skills as well as excellent communication and presentation skills
• The ability to generate new and creative sales ideas
• Candidate must be able to meet tight deadlines and work effectively in a high-pressure environment
• Candidate must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Computer Skills: Proficient in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
