Features & Description

Engineering Technician to assist project engineer in the design development and testing of new product concepts. Technician will be required to be familiar with all aspects of catheter manufacturing techniques. Position requires that individual to interact with all departments with in the organization to completed project tasks and deadlines.
Assist in the designing and development of new products through prototyping and testing. Refine processes to build prototypes with the input of the Project Engineer.

Assist in the development of assembly techniques and procedures for the manufacture and packaging of medical devices.

Assist in the development of documentation for assembly procedures.

Assist in the design, fabrication, and/or sourcing of new equipment and tooling necessary to assemble new products.

Develop and maintain a working knowledge of all laboratory equipment.

Assist in the creation of engineering drawings, manufacturing instructions, QA's and material specification sheets when requested.

Train assembly personnel of new procedures and monitor results to ensure high workmanship standards and output goals are met.

Follow written protocols and test prototypes per protocol. Document and maintain detailed record of testing results.

Provide updates to Product Project team on status of assigned tasks. Participate in project team and design review meetings.

Requirements:
Associate Degree in technical or science discipline or three years equivalent medical device experience.
Previous experience in a medical device environment preferred.
ISO quality system experience preferred
Familiarity with word processing ,spreadsheet applications, Engineering drawings and machine shop practices required.
