The University of Tennessee Health Science Center seeks to hire a Research Assistant to work in the Department of Preventative Medicine. The Research Assistant will collect research data per protocol for clinical trials participants in the Department of Preventive Medicine. The Research Assistant will perform the following duties: 1. Obtain informed consent and administer cognitive testing to study cohort. 2. Gather annual and semi-annual medical event history, psychosocial, and demographic study data by telephone, in person, and on home visits. 3. Schedule participants, monitor visit windows, and track data collection. 4. Track lab data collection and participant results, and review and resolve edits in study data to ensure completeness and accuracy. 5. Prepare routine patient, physician, and departmental correspondence on study and maintain accurate records of same. 6. Performs other duties as assigned.

THIS IS A PART-TIME GRANT FUNDED POSITION WORKING 25 HOURS PER WEEK.

REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in the Psychology, Social, Health, or Life Sciences; OR a combination of related college course work and work experience to equal eight (8) years; knowledge of database functions in PC or Mac platform; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
