Headway Corporate Resources has been entrusted to conduct a search for a Quality Improvement Analyst for a healthcare client in the St. Louis, MO area. This is a direct hire opportunity!Job Summary:
The Quality Improvement Analyst is responsible for developing, organizing, collecting, coordinating, preparing and presenting results of quality improvement review activities in order to achieve the objective of monitoring, evaluating and continuously improving the quality of healthcare services provided to members.
Essential Job Duties:
•Performs audits of medical records to demonstrate compliance with contractual obligations, identify opportunities for improvement, and to validate medical record-keeping practices for credentialing and recredentialing purposes.
•Plans and coordinates the collection, evaluation and dissemination of quality improvement data for quality initiatives and audits
•Develop health education materials as needed for quality initiatives
•Participates in NCQA accreditation preparedness and maintenance activities
•Prepares reports and analyses setting forth improvement, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations and conclusions
•Implements Quality Improvement activities related to quality initiatives
•Collects, monitors and evaluates data for Performance Improvement Projects (PIPs)
•Assists in preparation for External Quality Review Organization (EQRO) audits
•Facilitates quality improvement committees, as assigned, by preparing materials for the committee’s review
•Develop and maintain policies and procedures in accordance with State, Federal, NCQA and Molina requirements
Job Requirements:
•Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
•Two plus years quality improvement methodology
•Experience with accreditation preparation (e.g. National Committee for Quality Assurance)
•Experience in a managed care setting
•Working knowledge of computer software programs such as Word, Excel, and Access
*Licensure/Certification: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) REQUIRED.
