Programmer Analyst

Receive and accept work requests from users to develop or modify computer programs,

reports or files. Requests are assigned by either the department manager or designated

development/project team leader.

Work with requesters to understand and clarify nature and purpose of requests to ensure

accurate, complete, timely completion of assigned work.

Design and develop or modify requested reports or files. Perform needed coding and

testing of new or existing computer reports or files.

Essential Functions:

;Demonstrated technical competence in the capabilities of a programming technology

and tools, including Oracle SQL, Java/J2EE programming languages.

;Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Project, Visio, or other like-kind software

;Excellent working knowledge of report writing.

Excellent working knowledge of the use of SQL (Structured Query Language),

specifically in an Oracle database environment.

;Practical experience in performing analysis, design and construction, and

implementation tasks within the structure of the system development life cycle.

;Problem analysis and resolution skills.

;Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Education:

;Bachelor degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related
