DESCRIPTION:
To provide support to the Engineering Team, as required. The Process Engineer will perform process designs under supervision of process managers and provide support to operations, as appropriate. Review, analyze and recommend equipment, instruments, and/or components to be installed in the field or on a process system based upon process design and client requirements. To analyze field data and develop recommendations for response to field inquiries based on the results of the analysis and consultation with members of the engineering / process team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop a clear and precise understanding of the job requirements including defining of scope of work.
• Responsible for the input required (including supporting calculations) to prepare project related documents such as, but not limited to, equipment sizing, mass balance and P & IDs.
• Interaction with Project Managers, operations and all other departments / levels of personnel.
• Interaction with the design supervisor in the preparation and checking of project related drawings such as, but not limited to P & IDs.
• Assisting in the timely preparation of process description and control descriptions.
• Assist with the preparation and timely completion of operation and maintenance manuals.
• Perform field service activities, as may be assigned, including start-up, operator training and systems performance validation.
• Attend project status meetings with the project managers and representatives from sales, purchasing, fabrication and others, as may be required.
• Provide technical support to purchasing, fabrication, quality assurance and field personnel, as requested and / or required.
• Assists with proposal development, as required, with preliminary design of process and control system requirements for bidding and proposal development.
• Perform in-house project managements functions, as may be assigned.
• Special projects and assignments that may be assigned to you from time to time.
• Maintains a safe working environment and adhere to all company policies and OSHA guidelines
• Responsible for following: PDQAP (process design quality assurance plan), MSQAP (mechanical system quality assurance plan), PQP (project quality assurance plan), CSQAP (commission system assurance quality plan).
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS)
• Minimum of 0-3 years experience
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret engineering documentation / drawings / blueprints, etc.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers, clients and other employees of the organization
• Must be able to comply with and work in an FDA Regulatory Environment.
