Details on the room: its 8x10 (which is actually bigger than the other BR but there is a cut out above the wall and no window so I figure that evens things out somewhat), built in shelving, plenty of room for a double bed and at least two other pieces of furniture (a dresser fits nicely beneath the wall with built in shelving).
There is a closet in the bedroom and a large closest in the living room which also has an exposed brick wall and 2 huge windows--the apt. gets tons of light which also leaks into the bedroom especially in the AM with the cutout situation.
What else...it's 1300 each a month but next June (6/2010) is free so if you think about it optimistically its really 1230 a month plus wireless/cable (including DVR), and utilities. I also have a 36? (I think!) inch TV, DVD/VHS player, and an air conditioner already in the window.
Utilities range from 60-90 a person each month, but are always lower in the summer.
The apt. and bedroom are both furnished, but I'm always open to adding/changing/etc. It is on the second floor of a really beautiful, quiet street on 9th between 1st and A that borders Thompkins Sq. Park--so nice in the summer! Lots of cute boutiques, restaurants, health/grocery stores, and a Rite Aid nearby...and also really nice neighbors!
