Job Description:

The primary responsibility will be maintaining the standard cost accounting system and performing the monthly cost accounting close process. Detailed analysis of bills of material and recipe changes will be required, maintain transfer pricing and work closely with operations and planning departments as needed. Additional responsibilities will include manufacturing performance reporting to management, assist operations and financial management in understanding product costing and production variances and prepare other monthly reporting as required. A key requirement for this position is a comprehensive understanding of ERP systems and the financial effects of transactions on the business. The successful candidate would have already gone through a system implementation(s) and has a proven record of working on teams and successful projects.

1. Maintain computerized plant cost accounting system.

2. Provide production and inventory reporting to management, including month end journal entries.

3. Maintain knowledge of global business processes with a very detailed knowledge of the Oracle Application configuration for your business area. Understand the logic of the current application configuration and the impact to the business if the configuration is modified.

4. Work with Business Analysts to trouble shoot and resolve system application issues for your functional area.

5. Maintain SOX 404 system of internal controls for cost Accounting.

6. Perform other analyses and projects as required.

Skills Required:

1. Bachelor`s degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA, MBA or CMA a plus.

2. Strong analytical and problem solving skills; attention to detail as well as strong organizational & documentation skills.

3. Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment; good written and oral communications skills; ability to work independently, in teams and cross-functionally throughout all levels of the organization.

4. Proficient in PC and server based software applications; process improvement oriented and the proven ability to automate processes and procedures; system
implementation skills.

5. Experience with ERP systems, (Oracle OPM Production Management system experience strongly preferred)

6. 5-7 years experience in accounting; proficient in manufacturing accounting in a standard cost environment that includes 3-5 years cost accounting experience.
