POSITION PURPOSE:
Provides appropriate occupational therapy treatment under direction of an OTR. May participate in the evaluation process or re-assessment as assigned by the supervising occupational therapist. Assists in providing patient family, and caregiver education. Serves as a patient and rehabilitation advocate for current and prospective patients, to all internal and external customers. Participates in quality improvement and customer service activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Implements established patient treatment plan under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
• Provides timely written documentation per facility and department requirements.
• Assesses patient responses to treatment and reports to supervising therapist.
• Follows all organizational and facility safety policies and procedures regarding one's personal protection and patient safety.
• Develops self professionally.
• Supports and participates in department operations and development.

EDUCATION:
Graduate of an approved/accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program or equilvant.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Current National certification by AOTCB or documented eligibility within 6 months.
Current CPR card.

EXPERIENCE:
New graduates and experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants are welcome.
