Description

AltaCS is seeking a seasoned Network Systems Engineer to participate in the overall Engineering/Implementation of the Global Network. This position is part of the Global Infrastructure and Communications Department . A strong Network Engineering background with experience is required. This individual will help maintain standards through network compliance, change control, and configuration management. Bandwidth analysis using Netflow and IP SLA data is also desired. This individual will audit existing systems, design solutions, implement hardware, provide vision, perform validation, and establish processes.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years networking/systems management experience.

• A solid background in networking technologies (Routing, Switching, VPN, QoS, MPLS)

• In depth knowledge of network monitoring technologies and best practices.

• Experience with SNMP and NetFlow concepts and tools.

• Ability to plan and support global network monitoring.

• Ability to work and communicate effectively with engineers, architects, support staff, end users, etc.

• Ability to work independently.

Prefered Skills:

• Experience with the following applications: CiscoWorks, ACS, Voyence, NetQoS, Orion, Nagios, AirMagnet

• Experience with PCI and HIPPA compliance and regulations

• Ability to propose and implement service level agreements in order to meet customer expectations.

• Ability to plan and implement network management processes.
