Description The ROI Associate is responsible for processing all requests for release of medical information according to federal, state, and facility guidelines in a timely fashion. They will also adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines of all requests. Acts as primary phone contact for all requests for copies of medical records and medical information.

ROI Associates are also responsible for accepting and processing subpoenas issued by either courts of law or attorneys in accordance with facility procedures. They will also review all requests for proper authorization and prepare appropriate responses.

Requirements · High school diploma or GED
· Some college coursework in HIM field preferred
· Previous experience working in a healthcare environment preferred
· Six months of related computer experience
· Ability to communicate with physicians and hospital personnel
· Attention to detail
· Analytical ability to discern compliance with authorization requirements
