Features & Description
Did you read the LimaOhio.com story about Clayton Macklin who bought a home previously owned by the neighborhood developer? Apparently the local locksmith refused to make a copy of his house keys.According to the story, the locksmith asked Macklin, “Don’t you know what you have here? This is a master key. It opens all the doors in the neighborhood.”With that Macklin had the locksmith change his locks so he could get as many keys as he wanted. Apparently, the developer made it really simple on himself and had a master key made to open all the houses he was building, but no doubt each home had a unique key so one house key wouldn’t open the door of another house.Okay, so – can you look at a key and tell it’s a master key. No and Yes. No, you can’t look at the cuts on a key and tell it’s a master. If the key has a letter “M” or the word “Master” stamped on it (both of which signify a master key), then, Yes, you can look at the key and tell it’s a master key. There is one other way to tell. If the locksmith Macklin took the key to for duplicates, was the locksmith who set up the master key system for the developer, then he, of course, would know about the key when Macklin told him whose house he bought.Call us at 407-834-2656 or email us at [info“at”a-florida-locksmith.com] (replace the word “at” with the @ symbol).Check out our Martin Security Group, Inc. website at www.a-florida-locksmith.com for more information.Locksmith service areas include:In Seminole County: Lake Mary, FL; Sanford, FL; Longwood, FL; Casselberry, FL; Oviedo, FL; Winter Springs, FL; Fern Park, FL; Heathrow, FL; Winter Park, FL; Maitland, FL; Altamonte Springs, FL and in Orange County: Apopka, FL and Orlando, FLWe are commercial and residential specialists.LocksKeysDeadbolts Specialty locksPanic BarsPadlocksBump resistant locksRegistered with the State, County and City.
