We are looking for talented entrepreneurial minded individuals who would like to join our Agent in Training program with the ultimate goal of own their own business. The Agent in Training will work under contract for American Family Insurance as a part time agent. The position is designed to give “on the job training" in preparation for running an agency. AITs will work in a full time mentor agent`s office to build and cultivate customer relationships develop leads, promote and sell American Family products. Incumbents will solicit, quote, consult and bind coverage to help customers manage their unique insurance and financial needs.



* Solicits available insurance products to new and existing clients. Conducts comparisons to other insurers/policies. Calculates and quotes policy premiums.
* Make suitable recommendations on policy coverages and options, closes sales, and processes applications in an accurate manner.
* Create and utilize strategies to close sales on a daily basis.
* Maintains an active awareness of current products / coverages offered and underwriting rules. Must also be aware of state insurance regulations.
* Analyze information such as motor vehicle reports, credit reports, applications, risk, etc., to accept or reject new business. This requires strong analytical and decision making skills.
* Tracks daily sales activity; keeps management apprised of sales activity on an ongoing basis.



Job Requirements

* A four-year college degree is preferred.

* Prior to appointment, having secured your Property, Casualty, Life and Health insurance licenses
