HOSPITALIST MEDICINE (SEARCHING FOR 2 FTE HOSPITALIST PHYSICIANS)

LOCATIONS:

-- Olean General Hospital (Olean, NY)

-- Hornell, NY

Olean, NY & Hornell

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Hospitalist serves as the Attending Physician for all patients admitted to the Hospitalist service, as is responsible for:

--daily rounding on med/surg patients including ICU/CCU
--performing admission history and physical exams on admitted patients
--providing medical consultations to patients (surgical service and in ED)
--Serving as Rapid Response Team leader and Code Blue Team leader;
--Performing daily rounds with midlevel providers.

SHIFTS:

Day: 7a – 7p
Night: 7p – 7a

COMPENSATION:

--Physicians are Independent Contractors
--Hourly rate is $95/hour
--Performance incentives
--Full malpractice plus tail coverage
--24-month track to Partnership/Profit-sharing

QUALIFICATIONS:

-- Active NY medical license
-- Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
-- Inpatient experience (minimum one year)
-- Ability to place central lines and intubate patients.
- -Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
