Features & Description

This position works with primarily Hispanic/Latino male youth ages 12-18 in a group home setting. The Group Life Worker fosters a mentoring relationship with the youth, identifies each youth’s individual strengths, and adheres to treatment plans that assist the youth in achieving goals. Facilitates skill-building groups relative to treatment plans.

  1. Works with youth to identify strengths, issues, and needs.

  2. Works with youth to achieve goals.

  3. Facilitates skill-building groups relative to treatment plans.

  4. Provides a structured, daily routine that supports public safety, personal safety, and accountability.

  5. Assists in supervising the recreational component of each youth’s treatment plan.

  6. Assists with and guides youth in household duties and group home activities.

  7. Completes Behavior Rehabilitation Services Reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

  8. Communicates with family members and support individuals of the youth when appropriate.

  9. Attend team meetings, which includes mandatory compensated team meetings, and participates in organizational committees or teams as directed by the Program Coordinator or the Case Manager.

  10. Transports youth to and from various outings, appointments, or services.

  11. Supports the Street Vision Team with assignments or duties as directed by the Program Coordinator or the Case Manager.
