My name is John Dunlap, I am a local guitar teacher with three years of University training in Jazz and classical guitar. I have a full background in music theory and also a great deal of experiance in Classical and Jazz composition. Since I am still an undergraduate my rates are extremley reasonable and I can give you or your child a proper start on the guitar, so that your money can quickley lead to a life long love of music. I teach all styles, from the Jonas brother to Journey to J.S bach, and I love to work with students of all ages. Beginners are my favorite students but I have the skills to teach advanced techniques such as two hand tapping, sweep picking, and Jazz improvisation. Lastley I am a firm beleiver in the independence of the student, so I will always teach my students to teach themselves, so that they wont always have to rely on me. In simple terms I like to teach my students to fish, not give them fish. My lessons are always goal oriented and tailored to your personal goals.Does any of this sound good to you?
