Beautiful Oak Special Beveled Glass and Bronze. From the Famous Vedette workshop. Beautiful Polished Oak. Bright color no old wax layers. With very fine delicate lines and forms! The case decorated with heavy BRONZE ornaments.. Marked Vedette on the back and on the front of the movement. Very special beveled oval glass. 1910-1930 This fantastic clock plays a Westminster melody on four perfect tuned chime rods. At the first quarter it plays a 1/4 of the melody. At the half hour it plays half and on 3/4 it plays 3/4 of the melody. On the whole hour the full melody. And after that the hour count strikes on the four other rods. The sound is as perfect as from a musical instrument and it will be heard in the whole house and it will give you the feeling being in home. Everybody who comes to your home will praise your good taste. This centerpiece in your living or study is HUGE: 28 inches tall!! 13 wide and 7 deep. You can see many influences of those days. The hands and figures in style. The special oval beceled glass in a typical form and shape. The bronze ornament on top and the two ornaments above the clock face. All completely original and no repairs. Antique at its very best. The condition of the oak case is in nearly perfect condition. There are only a few minor scratches due to normal use during the about hundred years of its age. Original polished wood and brass pendulum. With winding key. Wall clocks from this very high quality are very rare and hard to find.
