Description:

Supervises the company's Federal and State Tax Compliance Group consisting of a staff of seven tax professionals. This group is responsible for preparation and filing of all Federal Income and State Income and Franchise Tax returns, extensions, and estimates. The compliance group also prepares various account analyses; researches and prepares responses to notices and inquiries from taxing authorities; analyzes and researches reporting discrepancies between the company and the taxing authority; reviews and analyzes complex accounting data; prepares various tax calculations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis; and provides analysis and support for various special projects.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree and tax supervisory experience with a CPA firm and/or with an oil and gas company is required.

· Broad computer skills and experience with Microsoft Excel is required.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Ability to successfully manage a staff of tax professionals.

· Extremely detail oriented and able to manage multiple deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
