FALL 2 EARTH (based in Seminole) needs a new Bass Player!

Sadly, our bass player Tim “The Fish” Fisher is leaving us! We’re not happy about it, but we understand his reasons and wish him all the best! However, we are now left with a void we are diligently seeking to fill!

We play nearly every Friday and Saturday night, peppered in with Sunday gigs, the occasional week night bike night, and we always book gigs for good money on the BIG holidays (St. Patty’s Day, July 4th, Halloween, New Years). Also, we’re always happy to jump at the chance to play bike shows, private parties (whoa…you should hear the stories), fund raisers and any other show we can play during the in-between times!

“Fish” is leaving some pretty big shoes to fill, so we need a bass player who can match the talent, energy and dedication he has brought to the band. You’ll be playing with a serious metronome of a drummer by the name of Mike “The Face” Podber who will expect you to know your part, keep to his beat, and pay attention to him and everyone in the band constantly (basically, when you audition, you get to pass HIS test); guitar player Mark “The Walrus” Walling who does wild Alex Lifeson-like riffs on the guitar and sometimes can’t see through his dark sunglasses; and lastly a crazy pink-haired lead singer by the name of Sonya “Pinky” Lynn who either wears knee-high combat boots with plaid mini-skirts or cute pretty dresses with heels on stage (you can never guess), and she engages the audience with her powerful vocals, acoustic guitar skills, harps and fanatically dynamic stage presence.

We play clubs like Sportsters, Brandy’s Lounge, Strokers (Tampa & Palm Harbor), The Rare Olive, Bent Elbow II, Sports Rock, Quaker Steak, and a secret private club house…we’d tell you, but then you wouldn’t still be alive still to audition…and many other clubs in the area.

MOST OF ALL – as a band, we have FUN…if it’s not FUN, it’s not worth doing. HOWEVER, that doesn’t mean we aren’t TOTALLY SERIOUS AND PROFESSIONAL about what we do. Our goal is to put on the best show we possibly can, play the best music we possibly can, keep things tight, solid and professional, and make sure our audience has a good time while also keeping the club owners happy. We do NOT try to blow the windows out of a bar, preferring instead to keep the volume at a reasonable level so that we get booked back again. On the other hand, if they want it LOUD, we are HAPPY to accommodate! We play LONG sets and take SHORT breaks. We also learn at least two to four new songs every week so we can keep our cover list growing and fresh.
