Join our keynote speaker, Dr. Tamara Hartl PhD, and VIPs Anne Hinton and Jeff Bell.
Dr. Hartl received her Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Connecticut and served as a clinical instructor at Stanford University until 2008. In her clinical practice, Dr. Hartl specializes in evidence-based treatment for adults with mood and anxiety disorders, stress, sexual dysfunction, as well as compulsive hoarding. She is currently collaborating with Dr. Michael Tompkins of the San Francisco Bay Area Center for Cognitive therapy on two books about a harm reduction approach for hoarding. The first is a book for family members and loved ones of persons who hoard, entitled Digging Out: Helping Your Loved One Manage Clutter, Hoarding, and Compulsive Acquiring.
Anne Hinton is Executive Director of the San Francisco Department of Aging and Adult Services. Ms. Hinton is also an experinced lecturer/teacher in the field of Gerontology. Her career spans more than 25 years in the field and she has served as the Director of Home Care, Care Management and Fiduciary Services Department for the Institute on Aging, the Director of Aging Services for San Francisco Catholic Charities and Director of the South San Francisco Senior Services.
Jeff Bell is a longtime veteran of radio and television news. He currently co-anchors afternoon drive at KCBS-AM, the CBS Network’s San Francisco flagship and one of the most successful all-news radio stations in America. Mr. Bell is actively involved with the Obsessive Compulsive Foundation—for which he serves as a national spokesperson—and Mental Health America’s Real Lives Campaign—for which he also serves as national spokesperson.
