Salary: 125-175K

This position exists to support to hire, train, develop and support the Senior Account Managers. Company wants to have the strongest Senior Account Managers in Consumer Electronics who are proficient at managing all aspects of their accounts including relationship, profitability, promotions, forecasting, supply chain, product launches … with a business unit mentality.

Personality:
This person has to command and the respect and admiration of the Senior Account Managers to be effective Entrepreneurial / Just-do-it attitude – not afraid to roll up their sleeves and do the job if needed, or train and develop Senior Account Managers to accomplish the task depending upon the situation.
Enjoys a casual dress atmosphere, but can dress up as needed (ability to influence is independent of dress)
Has energy and enthusiasm that motivates others

Knowledge & Experience
VP Sales or equivalent for 3 - 5 years minimum. First-hand knowledge of the consumer electronics market. Prefer someone who has sold I-pod, cell phone or computer accessories such as cases, cables, power chargers for home or car, speakers, applications … preferably to Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Target, Apple, FNAC, Dixons … major distributors and big box worldwide.
Worked for a period of 5 - 10 years minimum with a same size or larger consumer electronics company in positions of increasing responsibility similar to the responsibilities described below.
Experience developing the systems, structure, people, processes and procedures to make company successful as they grow.
Negotiation and Contract Management Skills

Responsibilities:

Hire, train, develop and coach Senior Account Managers (US & Intl)
Perform Account Reviews
o Profitability
o Assortment
o Pricing
o Promotions
o Service
o Competition
o Product and Service Opportunities – new and phase out
Prioritize New Product Development Opportunities
Work with Marketing to identify the products that will be introduced at future line reviews. Ensure Category Managers are informed.
Ensure Product Launches are Coordinated with Sales
Ensure Senior Account Managers are prepared for Line Reviews
Develop New Business – Customers, Regions, Channels, Products
Contribute to Market Strategy
o Define / Lead Channel Strategy
o Define / Lead Pricing Strategy
o Make Significant Contributions to our Product Strategy
Understand Forecasting. Ensure Senior Account Managers are Accurately forecasting their accounts and working with supply chain group if there are any supply chain issues.
Review Contracts for Approval
Review Pricing Exceptions for Approval
Help Negotiate and Approve Large Contracts


REQUIREMENT
1. VP Sales or equivalent for 3 - 5 years minimum in consumer electronics.
2. Experience in sales of I-pod, cell phone or computer accessories such as cases, cables, power chargers for home or car, speakers, applications to Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Target, Apple, FNAC, Dixons or similar major distributors and big box worldwide.
3. 5 + years with a consumer electronics company in positions of increasing responsibility similar to the responsibilities described above.
4. Dynamic high energy Manager with Negotiation and Contract Management Skills.
