Responsibilities

To sustain/improve catering efforts through leadership, training, and customer relationships.

•Direct team-based work system while developing employees and ensuring that division and organizational policies and process are followed.
•Direct responsibility for Corning’s liquor process; securing permits, ensure ABC process & law compliance, beverage storage, control and transportation.
•Develop and maintain measures to monitor performance and ensure continuous improvement.
•Provide employee coaching and mentoring to all catering employees (Corning & Adecco).
•Responsible for meeting all Formal Catering budget requirements, controlling overtime costs.
•Lead, work on, and coordinate all assigned projects for catering department.
•Lead and participate on hiring selection teams
•Active involvement in the selection and evaluation of preferred vendors and service contracts in coordination with Purchasing.
•Responsible for work and food safety programs within corporate food services.
•Act as project receiver for projects relating to the catering operations
•Determine resources necessary to complete reservations/projects
•Identification and implementation of improvement opportunities

Required Skills

•Leadership skills – ability to manage diverse needs with Corning and Adecco personnel
•Strong Culinary Arts skills – food service management, production, menu development

•Hotel/Restaurant management
•Must demonstrate high degree of initiative and the ability to manage multiple tasks
•Must be able to deal in stressful situations and meet deadlines as required

Education and Experience
•Bachelor’s Degree &/or Culinary Arts Degree
•3-5 years industry experience
