Local candidates and permanent residents only eligible for this role

Job Description:

Conversion from a digital phone environment to a VoIP platform at 414 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Rebuilding the Minneapolis Data Center – relocating servers, removing and reinstalling cables and patch panels
Receive the switch boxes and track the serial numbers.
Unpack switches, label them, get them ready for staging.
Make Duplicate Copies of Invoices and list serial numbers on packing list, then send to purchasing as proof of receipt.
Enter the serial number into inventory database.
Receive old switches from Wiremen remove labels, remove serial numbers from inventory. Prepare switches for storage and deployment.
Store the old switches in store room.
If skills permit, install preliminary switch onfigurations.
Run the cables from Patch Panel to server (some Patch Panels are under floor).
Print the labels and label the cables with server and patch panel port numbers.
Remove the cables from Patch Panel to server as servers are moved within the data center
Remove labels from the cables that are being removed. Keep track of available connections at the Patch Panels.
LAN/WAN, entry level – 1 – 3 years experience.
Cabling – intermediate – 2 – 5 years experience.
May be required to work OT and weekends.
