Insurance office seeking billing clerk. Office hours are 8:30-5pm Mon-Fri. Pay will be around 22K-25K (will be discussed further at interview). Job functions include answering phone inquiries regarding payment status, billing new accounts in our system (new business, endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, renewals, etc), closing out files, filing taxes online with the State, sending out cancellation/reinstatement notices, and a few other things. Mostly you would be working directly with our agents and finance companies as well as with the rest of the in-house staff. The position requires a lot of multi tasking and following up. Must be able to work with deadlines as most of the billing is time sensitive. Serious inquiries only! I am on a time line and need to fill the position asap. No prior accounting background is necessary. I am just looking for someone who can learn quickly and keep up.
