USA Green Jobs Now.Org is searching for seasoned professionals to assist in the development of its renewable bio-fuel technology to meet client’s strategic objectives. We have an opening for the position of Analytical Laboratory Technician. This position will consist of providing analytical support to all of our R&D efforts at the laboratory, pilot, semi-works and commercial plants. This position reports to the Laboratory Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain a clean, tidy and, above all, safe work environment;
• Perform compositional analysis of biomass, a procedure that involves the use of High-pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), spectrophotometer, and other equipment;
• Perform gas chromatography (GC) analysis of fermentation broth to quantify acid composition as required to support R&D effort;
• Perform experiments to determine mass balances around fermentation and pretreatment processes;
• Perform analysis of samples obtained from the different unit operations of our process using gas chromatograph/spectrometer (GC-MS) as required to support R&D effort;
• Maintain GC, HPLC, GC-MS, and other laboratory equipment as required;
• Compile an easily accessible record of analyses performed;
• Maintain and strictly abide by the sample custody transfer protocol to support R&D effort from our pilot and semi-works plants as well as from clients;
• Aid the laboratory manager in training of other new laboratory technicians and scientists;
• Coordinate with the laboratory manager the hiring, training and management of laboratory assistants, and other duties as assigned by Chief Technology Officer and Laboratory Manager.
