After years of breeding Shih-Tzus I can no longer give it the time required, so am offering some young adult Shih-Tzus for sale at a very low price to approved homes. These are dogs I did not sell as puppies because each was in some way exceptional. They area affectionate dogs,will do great with children or with folks that live in small apartments or condos. I have always treated all my Shih-Tzus as pets. They are not kennel dogs. They live in my home with me, so I will only sell them to responsible owners who will give them attention, exercise, and treat them as part of the family. I am located in the Kensington area of San Diego (near Qualcomm Stadium). The dogs vary in color. Most are under 2 years old. They are all toy size ranging from aout 7 to 13 lbs. They are each $400 & will be sold individually or together. At this low price they are a terrific bargain, but please understand that I will be selective when approving their adoption to anyone. I want them to be placed with people who will love & enjoy them, & who provide a good home. It is important to me that both the dog & the owner(s) be happy. These dogs are crate trained & partially but not fully housebroken. Young dogs are fairly easy to housebreak, much more so than 8 week old puppies, especially if you have only one. I can provide you with written instructions on how to go about it. They have not been neutered or spayed but my sales contract requires that you do so within 30 days from the date of sale. Shih Tzus are not yappers or barkers like Chihuahuas or Yorkies. They do not shed. If you are interested in breeding rights we can discuss terms but the cost will be significantly more. They come with a health guarantee. I am willing to allow you to try them out for a 2 week period; if you are not happy with them or vice versa you may return them to me for a full refund as long as the dog is in the same state of health as when you took it. I have been breeding dogs for 30 years & did this because of my love for animals & the enjoyment I get from them. However necessity requires that I downsize so am offering these little ones for adoption (at a cost) to approved homes.
