SAP ABAP- HR / Payroll - Gtwn1111-1

Full-Time (PERMANENT)

Germantown, MD

Citizen, GC or EAD only

This individual will be a member of the applications support team with primary responsibility for supporting the Human Resource and Payroll areas

This includes, but is not limited to:

Supporting SAP R/3 Personnel and Organizational Management, Employee Self Service (ESS) and Manager Self Service (MSS) functions using SAP Portal technology and business intelligence functions.

Work proactively with the Human Resource and Payroll teams to identify and resolve issues in order to maximize the efficient use of SAP

Participate in the implementation of additional functionality within the Human Resource and Payroll environments that will improve Hughes’ business processes and functions.

Participate in the design and configuration of new projects and on-going maintenance in SAP Human Resource and Payroll areas

Work with general employee population to define, design, and test applications and provide production support.

Work with business groups to provide front-line support to key business users and business processes

Work with the ABAP development and technical teams on development efforts

Work closely with other business system analysts, developers and other the technical team members in order to support and test global system changes that effect Human Resource functions and processes.

Maintain and support help desk calls for issues

Address configuration changes which are needed to support business process changes

Develop and maintain functional specifications for enhancements to reporting, user exits and other programming changes

Qualification / Skills

1-3 years experience with the SAP Human Resource and Payroll modules, with a strong concentration on Personnel and Organization Management, Benefits Administration, Compensation Management, Training/Events Management and Payroll is required.

Experience with the Implementation Configuration Tool (IMG) and OSS is also required.

Experience with Enterprise Compensation Management, ESS/MSS and workflow is a plus.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

This position requires a Bachelors degree, preferably in Information Systems or Computer Science.

Must have a positive attitude and willingness to work in a team.
