Job Description - This position provides technical programming solutions and support to the SAP Accounting, Finance, Human Resource and Payroll departments

This individual will be a key member of the applications support team with primary responsibility for supporting the programming needs of the Accounting, Controlling, Human Resource and Payroll areas. This includes, but is not limited to, programming in the FICO, HR and Payroll areas in support of SAP R/3 General Ledger, Controlling, Personnel and Organizational Management, Payroll functions. The candidate will work proactively with the Finance, Accounting Human Resource and Payroll teams to identify and resolve issues in order to maximize the efficient use of SAP. In addition the candidate will participate in the implementation of additional functionality within the Finance, Accounting, Human Resource and Payroll environments that will improve business processes and functions.

This individual will work closely with Human Resources and IT personnel and will occasionally interact with other business to design, test, implement and support new and existing functionality. The individual will also work with general employee population to define, design, and test applications and provide production support.

The SAP ABAP Programmer responsibilities include designing, developing and modifying ABAP programs, BAPIs, BADIs, researching and applying notes, etc., in support of new projects and on-going maintenance in SAP FICO, Human Resource and Payroll areas. The candidate will work with systems analysts and business groups to analyze and propose solutions and subsequently develop solutions which are needed to support business process changes. The candidate will also develop and maintain technical specifications for all development activity and enhancements to reports, interfaces, user exits and other programming changes.

The individual will work closely with other developers and technical team members in order to support and test global system changes that effect Finance, Accounting, Human Resource and Payroll functions and processes.

Qualification / Skills

Minimum of 5 years of SAP ABAP development experience within the SAP FICO Human Resource and Payroll modules, with a strong concentration on working with programming in the Human Resource and Payroll areas.

Must be familiar and proficient in :

Applying OSS notes

Function module development

BAPI and BADI development

Identifying and coding user-exits

Interface developments

Debugging of ABAP programs

Developing ABAP objects

Developing user-exits

Interactive forms

ABAP/4 Programming skills: which include ALV, Workflow, BDC, DI, delivering RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions Enhancements and Forms), SAP script, dialog processing, SQL Trace and transaction analysis, etc.

Familiarity with Crystal report development and DATA Archiving and DART tool a plus

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Must have a bachelor degree as well as 6-8 years of overall work experience.
