This is for the 294 room Holiday Inn Select in Baton Rouge.Revenue Managers primarily optimizes room rates and forecasts group profitability. Every decision they make affects company profitability and because of this the position demands a professional competent in their ability to manage both people as well as revenue. Revenue managers develop the most effective rates and strategies to increase revenue. Revenue managers utilize a revenue management (RM) system that optimizes rates based on accurate analysis of vast amounts of data, including historical demand, evaluate regional, seasonal and competitive influences, by property and market, and group performance across all property profit centers, price sensitivity for a large number of segments and markets, and demand and reservation costs across multiple sales channels. A successful candidate must have accomplished relationship and communication skills and be a creative thinker. Ideally, but not required, experience in sales, property management, or training and Holiday Inn experience. A candidate must have at least two years experience in the hospitality industry with:·Fairly extensive (1+ years) Holidex and IHG experience ·Experience managing 3rd party and opaque booking sites ·Proven organizational skills…to wit: interpreting, keeping and managing historical data ·Proven ability to generate and develop reports in Opera, Holidex, etc. ·Track record of the successful management and development of employees ·Proven ability to set and meet goals and encourage productivity ·Some experience with the development and management of special events, e.g., NYE, Christmas, special event weekends (football, baseball, etc.)
