Did you work in the field for an Uninterruptible Power Supply Company (Like Liebert, MGE, or Powerware) or know someone who did? We need to hire seven people right NOW with that experience, in SEVEN major cities in the U.S.

Job Type: Permanent Placement / Direct Hire

Reports To (Title): Service Manager

Compensation Range: Depending upon experience.

Position Locations: Chicago, Albany, NYC, San Jose, San Antonio, Dallas, Milwaukee

# Positions open: 7
Hours of Work (shift schedule): M-F – 24/7 On Call

% Travel: 50-75%

Summary:

Maintenance and repair of contracted, non-contracted three phase high-voltage UPS power and power distribution equipment. Also responsible for technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects. This position involves preventative and emergency maintenance on a 24/7 on-call basis.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

1. Troubleshoot, service and maintain UPS power systems on client sites

2. Provide technical support to customers on UPS systems.

3. 24/7 availability for critical power failure/ emergency service requests.

Qualifications/Background Required:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 1. 3 -5 years field experience with 3-phase OEM UPS systems such as Liebert, MGE, Powerware.

2. MUST have prior experience working for UPS OEM. (No exceptions).

3. Must have ability to read and interpret technical instructions, safety manuals, service manuals, electric and electronic schematics, and policies and procedures.

4. Must have strong understanding of single phase and three phase circuit theory and AC/DC circuit theory.

5. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Specific Tool/Process Experience Required:

1. UPS 3-phase systems (OEM systems such as Liebert, MGE, Powerware)

2. AC/DC Circuit theory

3. Test Equipment

Physical Requirements:

1. Must be able to access power back up systems, bend, stoop, use hand tools and other test equipment.

2. Must be available 24/7.

Education/Experience:

1. Associates degree in electronics repair or related degree.

2. Bachelors degree is preferred.

3. OEM formal training.
