The Tax Manager is responsible for the delivery of a full range of tax services for multiple clients in a wide variety of industries. Responsibilities include interacting closely with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise; providing primary and secondary review of complex tax returns; developing and managing staff; and working closely with partners and staff on client management, practice development, and business development activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality. Manage, direct, and monitor multiple client services teams on client engagements; plan, execute, direct and complete tax projects in a wide variety of industries; provide innovative tax planning, consulting and compliance expertise to clients and manage to budget.

Consult, work with and service client to make recommendations on business and process improvement and serve as a business advisor to client. Work closely with partners, managers, and staff to integrate practice development skills into a team approach to client service and new business development.

Maintain strong client relations and cross-sell services within the assigned group of clients. Recruit and retain senior associates and associates. Coach Senior Associates and Associates in developing and achieving goals and objectives for performance and professional development.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA, Masters in Taxation, LLM in Taxation or JD.

Five to seven years of progressive Federal Tax consulitng and/or compliance experieince in public accounting or a combination of corporate and public accounting experieince.

Strong leadership, business development, recruitng, training, coaching, and mentoring skills.
