this makes an excellent guitar for a beginner, or as a base for customization. it is very comfortable to play, and wonderful to learn on.

the Jackson Dinky was originally $199

and the case was originally $120

$200 gets you both here. a very good deal on a great gift for any beginning guitarist.

both the guitar and the case are in great shape, neither having seen much of any stage time. the case does have some of the usual scratches, but there are no tears in the exterior and the padded interior is in like-new condition (no tears or holes). both of the lid-straps are intact on the case.

the guitar's stock plastic nut has been replaced with a much stronger custom bone nut. i never did receive a whammy bar from Guitar Center when the guitar was bought, but it uses a very standard replacement bar that could be picked up at most guitar stores.
