It is a one of a kind, nurturing, fun-filled and enriched learning environment provided by a certified Montessori teacher with over 25 years of experience. Key Facts • Location: North Potomac MD / Gaithersburg, convenient access to I-270. Located near the intersection of Darnestown Road (Route 28) and Quince Orchard Road. • Open: 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. • Teacher to child ratio: 1 Adult to 4 children. • Montessori certified teacher with 25+ years of experience in the Gaithersburg area. • County licensed, CPR and First Aid Certified. Routine county inspections passed and background checks conducted. • Snacks included. Ages: 2 years – 6 years. • 1,500 square foot indoor facility and 5,000 square foot outdoor play area • Annual events for kids & parents for birthdays, holiday season, halloween, mothers and fathers day. • Three full time slots currently available. Full day pricing is $630 per child. Curriculum The Montgomery Country Licensed Day Care has a wide range of Montessori materials and covers the areas of Practical Life, which encourages and stimulates the child’s love of independence and the need for order; Sensorial, which develops and refines the child’s visual, auditory and tactile perception; Language, which prepares for the first stages essential in culture, with activities developing gross and fine motor control and concentration, leading towards reading and writing; Mathematics, by the use of the didactic materials, the child’s instinctive curiosity is aroused towards learning the concepts of quantities and numbers, leading to Addition and Subtraction; Social Studies, introduces the child to various countries and their cultural differences setting boundaries and inculcating respect of others. The child receives group or individual lessons and is encouraged to move at his/her developmental pace and is prepared to meet the challenges of future schooling.
