Headway Corporate Resources is currently seeking a Charge Entry Clerk for a Client in the Orange, CA area. This is a Temp to Hire position offering $13.00 -$15.00 per hour. The job summary and requirements are:SUMMARY
This position is responsible for visit creation and entry of accurate demographic information with timely charge entry. Ensuring correspondence, payments and adjustments are accurately posted and payments are balanced on a daily basis.

1. Responsible for daily batching and data entry of charges.
2. Ensure accurate demographic information has been entered into the NG system
3. Ensure accurate visit creation is performed in NG system.
4. Ensure all daily charges have been entered. Balancing of daily charges.
5. Knowledge of PSF electronic claim submission protocols
6. Accountable for continually implementing and demonstrating patient safety in all assigned duties. Demonstrates active participation in processes that support the JCAHO National Patient Safety Goals. Accountable within appropriate scope of practice to ensure that the safe delivery of healthcare services is maintained on an ongoing basis
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Demonstrates work performance that would ensure all charges are accurately entered within expected time frame.
2. Demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly, expressing all pertinent information and potential problems or issues that would hinder the ability to successfully perform his or her job, written and verbal, to include details and outcomes.
3. The ability to work cooperatively and respectively with others to promote the CHOC mission.
4. The ability to exercise patient confidentiality.
5. Other duties as assigned.
Data Entry
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must have data entry of at least 10,000 Keys
High School Graduate or Equivalent
Knowledge of all aspects of hard copy and electronic billing.
Working knowledge with Medicare, MediCal, Private, PPO and HMO
Detail oriented
Computer skills
Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 Coding

Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards; care with sensitivity and respect; advance care through development of new ideas and technology; promote teamwork to achieve mission; and understand and exceed customer expectations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The ability to work and communicate well with co-workers and insurance representatives is necessary.

The physical demands and work environment for this position are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
This position will require sitting for the majority of time, except when pick-ups are made. It will also demand using the computer for extended amounts of time.
No lifting is required.
